Table Massage

wellness-massage-relax-relaxing-56884.jpegLife can be busy or stressful, and adding one more appointment to travel to just doesn’t always fit in the schedule.  Or perhaps you have a loved one who is homebound who could benefit from an extra layer of care or additional pain relief. Maybe your office staff is working overtime and could use some stress-relief to increase productivity.  Or perhaps you are planning a festival, sporting event, or trade show, and would like to offer attendees a little something more. We bring massage directly to your home, office, hotel, or event, so you can relax and unwind in your very own space, without adding extra travel to your day. We bring everything needed to create a perfect massage experience, including massage table or chair, sheets, lotions and oils, and music.

Choosing the space for your Mobile Massage:

For table massages, a clear, accessible space of at least 6 feet by 9 feet is needed. Chair massages can be done in a clear space as small as 5 feet by six feet.  Whenever possible, choose a room on the main floor, preferably separate from the flow of household traffic.

Be sure to warm the area to your comfort before the therapist arrives.  Choose a space that provides the level of quiet and privacy you prefer (chair massages are done with the client fully clothed, and modesty draping is used to maintain additional privacy for table massages).

Please contain pets in a separate space in your home.  If you have young children, it is recommended you have someone care for them during your massage appointment, to minimize interruptions.  It is recommended you turn your phone off or switch it to “airplane mode.”

The massage therapist will bring the massage table or chair, sheets, lotion or oil, and music (though feel free to put on your own relaxing music if you prefer). We do not provide candles, and ask if you light candles, place them safely away from the area in which the therapist will be working.  Soft lighting is great for helping get relaxed, though keep in mind that your massage therapist needs to be able to see while working!  Outside spaces can be utilized in great weather; gazebos and porches can provide a relaxing oasis on a beautiful day, though an indoor backup space is recommended.


The space for the massage must be easily accessible, cleared, and ready for your therapist to set up a half-hour prior to your appointment time.  Your therapist will most often arrive about fifteen minutes prior to your massage appointment time, though sometimes a longer set-up time is necessary). Please allow your therapist to set-up promptly, so your massage time is not decreased. Clients often use the therapist’s set-up time to take a warm shower, do yoga or stretching, meditate, or to make sure all personal distractions are set aside.

There is a short time allotted at the beginning of each massage for intake, where you may share specific areas you’d like attention to, or update any health issues. Unless you’ve booked multiple massages in one day, your therapist will need to clean and pack up supplies in a timely fashion following your massage, to get to the next appointment on time. We respect our clients’ time, and want to keep our schedules running smoothly so that no one is left waiting! Chair Massage

Chair Massage is a great alternative to table massage, where space, time, or mobility are limited. Chair massage is received fully clothed and can utilize a variety of massage techniques to invigorate, relax, and heal.   massage-chair-1479054-1279x1702.jpg

What is a chair massage?

Chair massage is a 10-45 minute massage that focuses on the high tension areas of the neck, back, shoulders, arms & hands (and legs/feet for massages over 20 minutes, if desired).

Chair massage is performed fully clothed, on a specially designed portable massage chair. Chair massage is especially effective at producing therapeutic results in a brief period of time by concentrating the massage on the areas of greatest tension.

How much space do you need?

Space requirements are minimal – only a small 5′ x 6′ area is needed for the therapist to set up their massage chair and have enough room to move around comfortably.

Do I remove my clothing?

No, chair massage recipients remain fully clothed. At most, you may be asked to remove any jacket or obstructive jewelry during the massage.  No oils are usually used in chair massage, though lotion may be applied during a hand, arm, or foot massage by request. Please let your therapist know if you prefer lotion.

What about hygiene?

The therapist will clean & disinfect the massage chair and hands between each massage. Each massage recipient also receives a fresh face-rest cover to ensure cleanliness.  In longer massages that include lower leg and foot work, feet will be given attention last.

What if I want more or less pressure?

Just ask! Your therapist is trained to adapt to a wide variety of body types and sensitivities to pressure. The therapist will check in with you during the massage, but never hesitate to let them know your preference.

What can I expect in a 10-minute chair massage?

During the 10 minute session, the therapist will focus on relieving muscle tension in your neck, shoulders, and back. If you’d like work on your arms and hands please let the massage therapist know, but keep in mind that this will mean less time on the other areas.

What can I expect in a 15-minute chair massage?

During the 15 minute session, the massage therapist will work on your neck, shoulders, back, arms & hands. If you’d like more time spent on one specific area, just let the therapist know.

What can I expect in a 30- to 45-minute chair massage?

During longer chair massage sessions, the massage therapist will work on your neck, shoulders, back, arms & hands. You also may also choose to receive massage on lower legs and feet in massage sessions of 30 minutes or more.  If you’d like more focus on one specific area, let your therapist know!
